Ausgrid is currently working with Canterbury Bankstown Council, Lake Macquarie City Council and Northern Beaches Council as part of the Community Battery Trial.
Ausgrid, in collaboration with the Australian Government, will deliver six new community batteries in the Waverley, North Sydney, Central Coast, Northern Beaches, Hornsby and Canada Bay Council areas.
The Australian Renewable Energy Agency will be managing the remaining federal funding rounds for community batteries and you can refer to their website for more information.
While we have not yet determined future potential community battery locations, you can express your interest by emailing our dedicated community battery team at sharedbattery@ausgrid.com.au.
