Dalley Street, Decommissioning of Street Zone Substation

Status: Current
Ausgrid is installing new conduits and electricity cables along Macquarie, Bridge, Hunter and Bent Streets.

Over the past few years, Ausgrid has been progressively transferring electrical load away from Dalley Street Zone Substation located in Dalley Street, Sydney CBD. Dalley Street Zone Substation was first commissioned in the late 60’s and the majority of its assets are aged and in a deteriorated condition.

To maintain a safe and reliable electricity supply in Sydney’s CBD, Ausgrid is installing new conduits and 11,000V electricity cables along Macquarie, Bridge, Hunter and Bent Streets. This will enable the supply to be transferred to one of Ausgrid’s more modern substations located at Belmore Park.

The benefits
